We understand that every member of the household is considered family, so even your four-legged family members will love staying at Mason Sq. As such Mason Sq is Pet friendly however there are some basic rules to ensure all residents feel safe. Here are our rules and top tips for keeping your pets happy in an apartment.

Residents may keep a pet in their apartment. These pets could include dogs, cats and birds of various size and breed. They must not be a restricted breed as per Moonee Valley City Council.

Please familiarise yourself with our OC Rules which area in the Resident Hub along with info from MVCC. All acceptable animals must be registered with MVCC.

If an animal is a danger or causes a nuisance in the common property the OC may give notice to remove the animal from the Lot or common property.

There are some areas of the common property that are strictly out of bounds for animals such as a BBQ area or sports court.

Brief Summary of OC Rules

  • Pets should always be on a leash, restrained or in a carrier when on common property.
  • Any animal belonging to them or visiting them does not urinate or defecate on Common Property including internal courtyards or a Lot's balcony or open space, and if they do it must be cleaned up ASAP.
  • Should register their pet on the Resident Hub.
  • Ensure that no animals and/or pets are kept (stored) in Common Areas (including, but not limited to, any lobby, foyer, Recreational Facilities, courtyards or garages).

Good Karma Guidelines

  • Toilet time at least 5 metres away from any entry.
  • Train your pet to use the gutter or a tree out in the street.
  • Always carry bags to pick up after your pet.
  • No one likes a barking dog, start training!
